Motor
Vehicle License Renewals
The
Sheriff’s Office in the county courthouse offers residents a
convenient location to renew Class A (cars and trucks) and Class G
(motorcycle) registrations.
To
renew a license, bring your West Virginia DMV renewal form to the
clerk in the Sheriff’s office. The back of your form must
contain information about your motor vehicle insurance, or you must
provide proof of insurance.
County
personal property taxes must be paid in order to renew motor vehicle
licenses. The County Assessor is located next to the Sheriff,
so questions about personal property assessments can be answered and
payments made so motor vehicle license renewals can be completed
with a minimum of hassle.
If
you have questions regarding motor vehicle license renewals, you may
contact the Sheriff's office.
